We made our way to Milan, and by this point, were in need of a little rest and relaxation. So we booked into the iconic Bulgari Hotel Milano. It provided the perfect sanctuary for us to explore the city, being right in the heart of it, but then also retreat into absolute comfort. The hotel is a delightful marriage of old and new, being a renovated 18th-century Milanese palazzo.
We spent the first day relaxing in the 4,000-square-meter private garden and took it upon ourselves to ‘taste test’ a number of the cocktails alongside the Afternoon Tea which allows guests to sample Chef Niko Romito’s ‘La Pasticceria’ collection.
We then retreated to our room for my favourite pastime ever, robes and room-service.
The bed felt like an actual cloud, as it to be expected from a brand such a Bulgari. It was such a welcome indulgence after the chaos of travel.
