There is something about Byron Bay that keeps us coming back for more. There is a such a unique vibe in this town that you won’t find anywhere else. The city is filled with picturesque beaches, wholesome cafes, great people and is a stark contrast to the concrete jungle you’ll find in other major cities. These are just some of the many reasons why Byron Bay is one of our favourite spots to visit when we want to getaway, kick our shoes off and unwind. For those who are planning to visit, we’ve put together a list of our five must-visit dreamy rentals located in and around the Byron Bay region.

The Range, Coopers Shoot

The Range is a luxurious Spanish-inspired oasis that sits on 120 acres of hills in Coopers Shoot which is located in the outskirts of Byron Bay. The indoor-outdoor layout embraces the rustic, warm hued and sun-kissed mood of Mediterranean Europe, featuring natural textures such as exposed natural brick, timber panels, stone and straw. The villa is decked out with rustic-bohemian decor such as straw mats, brass detailing and sheer white drapes which perfectly suit the Spanish theme of the villa. Once we stepped outside, we were in awe of how beautifully the outdoor patio space contrasted against the lush green rolling hills that stretched out into the horizon. The outdoor space features a 15-metre infinity pool, sun beds, an alfresco dining space, a wood-fired barbecue and so much more. I swear every part of this villa is gram-worthy! For those who are interested in local sight-seeing, Byron Bay’s iconic beaches and busy town centre are only a short drive away from the property.

If you’re after a true off-the-grid retreat, then The Camp is the perfect option for you. This ‘earth friendly escape‘ is an eco-retreat that is only a 25-minute drive from Byron Bay and sits on top of a hill in the hinterlands. Each camp site includes a large tent that provides a spacious living and sleeping space, a camp fire and a personal cabin with bathroom facilities, a kitted kitchenette and breakfast bar. All aspects of this retreat are designed with the environment in mind, with the personal cabin being entirely solar-powered, the bedding made of organic linen and the bathroom featuring a composting toilet. Not only that, but The Camp donates $20 of every booking to Sea Shepherd Australia for the protection of the world’s oceans and its marine life so you can feel truly good about your stay.
