DOVECOTE, GERRINGONG is your dream weekend getaway

The Headland at Dovecote is the ultimate dream holiday house for those who love to indulge in a little bit of extravagance during their stay. This property is located in the beach city of Gerringong which is just a 2-hour drive down south of Sydney. When you reach The Headland, you’ll be in awe of the impeccable architecture of the house which features pavilions that stretch over the green hills towards the picturesque coastline of the New South Wales South Coast. Everything from the exterior and interior exudes luxury contemporary minimalism. The property stays true to natural hues and a neutral colour palette, which is combined with light timber decor, bright white furnishings and natural textures. One of our favourite aspects of the home were the deep freestanding bath tubs which were perfect to wind-down in the afternoon as you’re enjoying a front-row view of the coastline right in front of you.

During the cooler months, the outdoor central courtyard is the perfect place to gather around the fire pit during the evening with good company and a bottle of vino. Or if you prefer to spend your time indoors, you can get cozy around the stunning GryoFocus Fireplace which we found out was voted the ‘World’s Most Beautiful Object’ in 2009 at the Pulchra Design Competition! During the summer months, take a dip in the large natural mineral pool as you enjoy the incredible views of nature around you. This stay is the perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city as you’re surrounded by nothing but lush green landscape, a beautiful ocean front and wholesome farmland. Fun fact: this property was the recipient of the HIA-CSR Australian House of the Year in 2019!
